Royalty Records docs

Royalty Records is a Solana launchpad where every coin carries a 2% tax inside the token, and 0.75% of every trade is paid to the coin's holders in SOL every hour, by balance. This page is the whole rulebook.

Overview

Think of each coin as a record and each trade as a stream. The record's tax is the royalty: it is collected automatically on every transfer, split once when it arrives, and paid out to the people holding the record. There are no callers, no registration, no staking and nothing to claim. Hold the record and the royalties arrive in your wallet.

How it works

  1. An artist drops a record on the Royalty Records launchpad. The coin is a Token-2022 mint with a 1.75% transfer tax; the curve adds 0.25%, so every trade pays 2% in total.
  2. People trade it on Raydium, Axiom, Jupiter or here. The token program takes the tax on every transfer; no venue can skip it.
  3. The tax is harvested into the treasury and split at receipt: 0.75% holders, 0.25% buyback and burn, 1.00% label.
  4. Once an hour a snapshot of holders is taken and the holders' share is paid in SOL, in proportion to balance.
  5. Once an hour 0.25% buys back and burns the label coin, $ROYAL. Every payout and burn links to its Solscan receipt.

The tax: why it is the trump card

Most "rewards" tokens rely on a contract someone controls. Royalty Records uses the Solana Token-2022 transfer-fee extension: the fee is a property of the mint itself, enforced by the token program on every transfer, on every venue, forever. The fee rate and the recipient are set when the coin is created and cannot be raised, paused or redirected afterwards, not by the artist and not by the label.

The split is computed in integer lamports when each harvest arrives and written to the ledger. It is the same for every record; artists cannot change it.

Royalties

At every harvest the holders' share of that record is divided among the wallets holding it, in proportion to balance, with the rounding dust going to the largest holder. Shares accumulate per wallet and are paid in SOL once an hour, as soon as a wallet's share reaches 0.001 SOL (Solana refuses smaller transfers).

My royalties

Connect a wallet (read only; nothing is signed) to see every Royalty Records record you hold, what each has paid you, what is accruing, and the receipt of every payout.

Drop a record

One transaction from your wallet creates the mint with the tax, the curve and the first buy. The record trades everywhere from the first second. The description gets one extra line, Holder royalties via Royalty Records, which is how the label recognises its records.

Solana

Records are Token-2022 mints on Solana mainnet, launched on the Royalty Records launchpad (a Raydium LaunchLab platform) and migrated to Raydium at graduation. Royalties are paid in SOL from the treasury wallet, whose address is published on the home page.

Swap

The swap on the home page routes through the record's own curve while it is live and through Jupiter afterwards. Quotes include the tax, so what you see is what you get.

Buy back and burn

0.25% of every trade of every record buys $ROYAL on the open market and burns it, once an hour, whatever the price does. Burns are signed from the treasury console and each one links to its receipt. Until the label coin exists, this share accumulates in the treasury.

FAQ

Do I have to stake or claim?

No. Hold the record in any normal wallet and the royalties arrive in SOL every hour once your share clears 0.001 SOL.

Can the artist turn the tax off or take the royalties?

No. The tax is a property of the mint, fixed at creation. The split is the same for every record and is not configurable.

What does the artist earn?

The same as any holder: royalties on what they hold. A first buy at launch makes them the largest holder on day one.

Why did I get less than I expected?

Royalties are proportional to balance at each hourly snapshot. A bigger holder base means a smaller share each; selling before a snapshot means no share of it.

Which chains?

Solana only.

Is this financial advice?

No. Nothing on Royalty Records is an offer or investment advice. Records dropped here can go to zero.
